Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET)

Important FAQs (Updated & Effective from November, 2023 Session and onwards):

Q1. Who is eligible to appear in the CSEET?

Ans: A candidate passed / appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination or equivalent thereto is eligible to appear in the CSEET.

Please note that a 10th pass candidate is eligible for provisional registration to  CSEET.

Q2. I am a Graduate / Post Graduate, whether I will have to appear for CSEET?

Ans: Graduates (Having minimum 50% Marks) / Post Graduates are exempted from appearing in CSEET and enabling them to take direct admission in CS Executive Programme. 

Q3. Who is exempted from CSEET (except as covered above, without any payment of exemption fee?

Ans: Candidates who have passed CS Foundation Programme are exempted from CSEET without any payment of exemption fee.

Q4. Who is exempted from CSEET after payment of exemption fee?

Ans: Candidates who have passed the Final Examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and/or The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are exempted from CSEET and shall pay Rs. 5,000 towards exemption fee at the time of Registration to CS Executive Programme.

Q5. What is the Pattern of CSEET Exam?

Ans: CSEET is based on Objective Type / Multiple Choice Questions. 

Q6. What will be the mode of Examination?

Ans: Remote Proctored Mode or any other mode as may be decided by the Council from time to time. 

Q7. How many papers in CSEET Exam?

Ans: There are 4 papers: 1. Business Communication; 2. Legal Aptitude & Logical Reasoning; 3. Economic and Business Environment; and 4. Current Affairs & Quantitative Aptitude.

Q8. What will be the Exam Duration?

Ans: The duration of the Test shall be 2 Hours.

Q9. What is CSEET Passing Criteria?    

Ans: Candidates shall be declared ‘PASS’ in CSEET on securing 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate.

Q10. How much registration fees for CSEET Exam?

Ans: The Registration Fees for appearing in CSEET is Rs. 1,000/- per student per appearance. The concession in fee shall be applicable to various categories of students. (Detailed list in Prospectus)

Important Announcement for July, 2024 Session Exam: 

Registration Date: The  last date for registration to Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), July, 2024 Session shall be 15th June, 2024 (Tentative).

Forthcoming Exam Date: 

CSEET-May 2024 Session, exam is proposed to be scheduled on Saturday, 4th May 2024 (Tentative)
